Houston – Two injured in night crash

Authorities are still investigating a car collision which resulted in injuries of two Summersville residents, Friday night.

Initial reports say that a vehicle heading east on Tower Drive suddenly veered off the road and slammed into a tree. Two passengers sustained injuries from the crash. They were identified as 19-year-old Allysia C. Mahan and 37-year-old Jesse R. Blanks. Mahan was transported to Texas County Memorial Hospital in Houston while Blanks were transferred to Mercy Hospital in Mountain View.
Investigators were called onto the scene to determine the cause of the collision. Based on the preliminary investigation, both passengers were not wearing a seat belt during the time of the accident.
