HOUSTON, TX – A man died today following a series of crashes involving five vehicles on Howard Drive, according to an article by KHOU.
The incident began around 1 p.m. when the driver of a Lincoln MKX struck a Honda Civic at a red light at Howard Drive and the Gulf Freeway service road. The driver of the Lincoln then fled the scene.
The Lincoln’s driver sped down Howard Dr, then struck another, a Chevrolet Silverado 1500, at a traffic light in the 8400 block of Howard Drive, near Galveston Road. The rear-end collision pushed the Chevrolet into the vehicle in front of it, a GMC Sierra.
After rear-ending the Chevrolet, the Lincoln traveled into the middle lane of traffic, struck a Honda Pilot, then overturned.
The Lincoln’s driver died at the hospital of unspecified injuries.
A bottle of unspecified alcohol was found inside the Lincoln, though authorities have not stated if the driver was intoxicated when the accident happened.
