Woman dead after crashing car into bridge support

HOUSTON, TX – A woman is dead after crashing into a bridge support for South Main Street this morning, according to a report by KTRK.
The accident occurred on Stella Link Road, which is beneath the S Main Street interchange, before 2 a.m., when the unidentified female victim was unable to properly make a turn.
Her Dodge Challenger crashed into a pillar supporting the bridge and was extensively damaged.
The victim was declared dead at the scene of the accident.
According to authorities, unfamiliarity with the area may have contributed to the accident.
