Liberty County—Multi-Vehicle Crash Leaves 3 Dead, 3 Injured on FM 163

A fatal car accident took the lives of three people, including a child on Farm to Market Road 163, Wednesday evening.
At around 7:00 p.m., local authorities responded to the Liberty County intersection near FM 163 and County Road 2282. According to initial reports, the deadly head-on collision involved two vehicles with children and teenage passengers.
The impact of the collision killed three occupants from both cards. They were only identified as a man, a 15-year-old girl, and a 5-year-old girl. A teenage passenger, identified only as a 17-year-old, sustained serious injuries from the impact. He was rushed to Life Flight in critical condition. An official from Department of Public Safety confirmed that he is also related to the victims. Three other people were transported to the hospital via ambulance.
No identification has been released.
DPS is still determining the cause of the collision. Investigation is ongoing.
