Elderly pedestrian killed in Harris County accident

CROSBY, TX (HARRIS COUNTY) – An elderly pedestrian was killed this morning in Harris County when she was hit by a pickup truck, according to the Houston Chronicle.
The accident happened around 5:30 a.m. near the intersection of FM 2100 and Indian Shores, when the victim attempted to cross the street while walking home from a trip to a convenience store.
According to the report, the victim did not stop for oncoming traffic and was hit by a 2006 Ford Ranger.
The driver of the Ford was not injured in the accident. His lights were turned on, and he appeared to be driving at a reasonable speed, the article reports.
The identity of the victim has not yet been released.
