Pedestrian critically injured in Dickinson accident by possibly intoxicated driver

DICKINSON, TX – A pedestrian was critically injured after being hit by a suspected drunk driver Saturday night, according to the Galveston County Daily News.
The accident happened around 9 p.m. at the intersection of 30th Street East and California Avenue.
The victim is an unidentified 58-year-old man who was walking on California Avenue when the driver of a work truck struck him.
The pedestrian was sent to the hospital and required surgery.
The driver of the work truck is being held on suspicion of driving while under the influence.
Galveston County authorities continue to investigate the crash.
