Two killed in police chase in northwest Houston

HOUSTON, TEXAS – Two innocent people were killed in a police chase in northwest Houston on the night of Monday, May 25, according to The Houston Chronicle.
A Harris County Sheriff’s Office deputy located a Mercedes Benz driven by suspect Alexis Saborit speeding near the 1000 block of Veterans Memorial Drive. The deputy attempted to pull Saborit over, but he fled from authorities.
While crossing West Mount Houston Road, the suspect drove into the wrong lane. He then crashed into bicyclist Jarvis Taylor and the driver of a Buick LaCrosse, driven by Roosevelt McClendon. Both victims were pronounced dead after being transported to nearby hospitals.
The suspect was also taken to a hospital with serious injuries. He is believed to be intoxicated at the time of the crash.
