Anna—Two Killed in A Solo-Vehicle Collision on SH 121

At least two people, including a child, died after getting involved in a solo-vehicle collision on State Highway 121, northeast of McKinney Monday night.

At around 7:30 p.m., local emergency crews responded to SH 121 near Anna after receiving a call reporting a car accident. According to initial reports, a Chevrolet Camaro was traveling along the northbound lanes of SH 121 when, according to one of the witnesses, it lost control after attempting to overtake another car. The Camaro then veered off the roadway and eventually crashed into a tree.

The impact of the collision killed the driver and his passenger. They were both residents of Whitewright.

Officials from the Texas Department of Public Saftey were called onto the scene to determine what caused the driver to lose control.
