Driver kills pedestrian on FM 529

HOUSTON, TX – A man died early on Tuesday morning after he was hit by a car near 1400 FM 529.
The Harris County Sheriff’s Office is investigating this fatal pedestrian accident that occurred at 3:42 a.m. on May 12. KPRC 2 reports that the pedestrian was crossing FM 529 after leaving a corner store when he was hit by an oncoming car. The man was not walking in the crosswalk at the time of the accident.
Police officers pronounced the pedestrian dead on the scene of the accident. However, they have not released any information about the man, at this time.
The driver who caused the accident remained on the scene and assisted the police in their investigation. Officers do not believe the driver was intoxicated when the accident occurred.
