Slaton – Edwardo Valdez Hurt Following CR 2950 Crash

Texas Department of Public Safety officials have released the name of the man who was sent to the hospital following a major crash on County Road 2950 in Slaton.

The victim was identified as 46-year-old Edwardo Valdez.

According to initial reports, an undescribed vehicle driven by Edwardo Valdez was seen traveling along CR 2950 near Highway 84 when it crashed into a semi-truck that was also traveling along the roadway. Based on the initial investigation, the semi-truck was attempting to switch lanes when it collided with Valdez. The impact of the crash left Valdez with serious injuries. He was taken to a hospital where he was listed in an unknown condition. No other injuries were reported.

Slaton investigators were requested at the scene to determine liability.
