Telferner – 69-year-old Calving Kuykendall Died in Two-Car Crash on FM 1686

A man was pronounced deceased following a major car collision on Farm to Market Road 1686 in Telferner, according to a local news source.

The fatality was identified as 69-year-old Calving Kuykendall.

Police said Tammie Hermans was driving a vehicle along FM 1686 near US Highway 59 when it crashed into another car driven by 69-year-old Calving Kuykendall. The impact of the collision left Kuykendall with significant injuries. He died on scene. Meanwhile, Hermans sustained fatal injuries and was given proper treatment. It was not confirmed if she was taken to a hospital for further medical attention.

Police have yet to determine the circumstances leading up to the crash. The case remains under investigation.
