Hale County – Pedestrian Killed in FM 400 Collision Identified

A teen was pronounced deceased following a fatal pedestrian collision on Farm to Market Road 400 near Lancaster Street, according to a local news source.

The fatality was identified as 18-year-old Alvaro Cedillo.

At around 6:30 a.m., police responded to FM 400 in Hale County after they received a report of a man lying in the roadway. According to initial reports, Alvaro Cedillo was seen walking across the roadway when a passing vehicle struck him. The force of the impact left Cedillo with fatal injuries. He was immediately taken to the nearest hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.

Police did not release information about the driver involved. Whether or not he remained at the scene is yet to be confirmed.

The investigation is underway.
