Refugio – Pedestrian Collision on US 77

Refugio law enforcement officials have identified the victim who died following a crash on US Highway 77 last week, March 24th.
The victim was identified as 36-year-old Rayhaan Traboulay.
According to police officials, the incident took place at around 5:00 a.m., five miles north of Refugio. Traboulay was reportedly operating a 2013 Hyundai vehicle when ran out of gas and stepped outside of his vehicle. A few moments later, a driver of a passing 2007 Kenworth 18-wheeler truck did not see him, hitting him in process. The impact of the crash was so great, killing Traboulay on scene.
It was not confirmed if the driver of the truck was hurt from the crash.
Area investigators were requested at the scene to determine liability.
