Sherman County – Arika Smith, Diane Wagner Died in Hwy 287 Crash

Sherman County police officials have identified the drivers who died in a fatal car crash on US Highway 287, Sunday evening.
Just after 6:00 p.m., a vehicle was attempting to pass a semi-truck on US 287 but ended up in the path of a third vehicle, causing a crash. The impact of the collision killed both of its drivers. They were identified as 34-year-old Arika Smith and 55-year-old Diane Wagner, respectively.
A passenger in the second car, identified as Gregory Wagner, was immediately taken to the hospital where he was listed in an unknown condition.
No other injuries were reported.
Area investigators arrived at the scene to determine liability.
