Houston – Single-Car Accident on Interstate 10

At least three people were sent to the hospital following a major single-vehicle crash on Interstate 10 near Highway 99, Sunday, a local news source reported.

According to the initial investigation, a vehicle was traveling near Hwy 99 when it abruptly entered the freeway and eventually went out of control. The car continued on and ended up striking safety barrels. Three occupants in the vehicle, including its driver and two passengers, were left with serious injuries. They were taken to the nearest hospital in an unknown condition.

No identification was released.

Houston police believe that speed may have played a factor in the crash.
