Last February 13th, Thursday, a major accident involving a school bus resulted in injuries on Farm to Market Road 353 in western Bastrop County.
At around 12:40 p.m., local police received a call reporting an accident at the intersection of FM 535 and FM 20. Preliminary investigation shows that a Subaru vehicle entered the cross street on a red light, ultimately colliding with a school bus. As a result, the school bus drifted off the roadway and rolled over. The driver of the Subaru was transported to Dell Seton Medical Center in Austin for treatment of his injuries that were considered to be serious. Meanwhile, two occupants on the bus were hospitalized but their condition was not immediately released.
It was not clear if the Subaru driver will be facing charges.
The crash remains under investigation at this time.
