Houston— Minor Injuries Reported on Highway 59

A collision involving a passenger bus on Highway 59 near Edna resulted in minor injuries, Sunday afternoon.

Initial reports say a passenger bus was traveling along the southbound lanes of the highway when a white Ford pickup truck suddenly swerved onto its path resulting in a collision. The Texas Department of Public Safety responded to the scene to assist the victims who were injured. According to DPS officers, the bus has at least 20 occupants during the incident but none of them was injured.

Whether the injured victims were transported to a hospital or treated at the scene is yet to be confirmed. No identification was released.

The crash is still under investigation.
