Balch Springs – Single-Vehicle Collision on Interstate 635

One person was pronounced deceased after getting into a car accident on Interstate 635 in Balch Springs, Sunday morning.

Initial investigation indicates that the incident happened on I-635 at around 6:30 a.m. An undescribed vehicle was reportedly traveling along the highway when, for reasons that had not yet been determined, it went out of control and left the roadway. It continued on, struck a sign before coming to rest. When emergency crews arrived at the scene, the wrecked vehicle was already engulfed in flames, killing two people on the scene.

Authorities did not release information about the fatalities as they have yet to get in touch with their next of kin.

The crash remains under investigation.
