Grand Praire – Auto vs Pedestrian Crash on West Main St

A pedestrian was pronounced deceased after getting hit by a car on West Main Street last Saturday, January 24th.
According to local police officers, the incident occurred in the 2500 block of W Main Street just before 7:00 p.m. A male pedestrian was attempting to cross the road when a passing 2019 Acura sport utility vehicle struck him. He sustained fatal injuries and was rushed to Medical City Arlington for further care. Unfortunately, he died shortly after arrival.
The driver of the SUV, who was only identified as a 63-year-old woman, remained at the scene and is cooperating with responding officers. She is not expected to face charges.
An investigation is underway.
