Harris County – Auto vs Pedestrian Collision on Sugarland Howell Rd

Harris County local officials are still looking for a driver who struck and killed a pedestrian on Sugarland Howell Road, Sunday morning.
At around 2:00 a.m., police received a call reporting a crash at the 7200 block of Sugarland Howell Rd. Initial investigation shows that a male pedestrian was seen walking along the roadway when he was hit by a car. The victim was knocked down to the ground where he was struck again by another vehicle. When authorities arrived at the scene, the victim had already succumbed to his injuries.
Police said the driver of the second car remained at the scene and called 911 for assistance. Meanwhile, the first vehicle that struck the man sped off and has yet to be located by authorities.
The crash remains under investigation.
