Coryell – Cordelia Sloan Died in Two-Car Crash on Highway 84

Law enforcement officials have named the teenage driver who died in a fatal car accident on US Highway 84, Monday.
The fatality was identified as 16-year-old Cordelia Sloan.
According to the initial report released by Coryell County police, a pickup truck was seen traveling near County Road when it collided with a vehicle driven by Cordelia Sloan. Police said Sloan reportedly ignored a red signal at the said cross streets which may have contributed to the collision.
The driver of the pickup truck sustained injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital. The extent of his injuries, as well as his identity, was not immediately released by responding authorities. Meanwhile, Sloan was fatally hurt and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The crash remains under investigation.
