Flat – Man Hospitalized Following Auto vs. Bicycle Crash on Highway 36

The 27-year-old bicyclist who was hospitalized after getting into a collision on Highway 36 last Tuesday has been identified by law enforcement officials.
The victim was identified as 27-year-old Josh Quigley.
Quigley was riding a bicycle along Highway 36 at around 11:24 p.m. when, for reasons that had not yet been determined, he was struck by a Cadillac sedan. The force of the impact knocked the bicyclist down leaving him with serious injuries. He was immediately taken to a local hospital for treatment of his injuries. Emergency personnel said Quigley sustained broken ribs, a punctured lung and fractured skull and pelvis.
Meanwhile, the driver of the Cadillac remained at the scene and is cooperating with local investigators. No charges have been made as the investigation is still in progress.
