At least one person was sent to the hospital after an accident on Texas Highway 289, Friday evening.

Police said the incident occurred at around 7:00 p.m. on Texas 289. A pedestrian was trying to cross the highway, near Wright Road, when he was hit by a passing car. No one else was injured.

Denison local authorities have yet to determine liability. The investigation is still in progress.
