Grimes County – Warren Samuel Died Following Car Accident on Highway 2

A fatal vehicle collision on Highway 2 near Highway 6 caused the death of one person and injuries to another person on Highway 2, Saturday evening.
The victims were identified as 24-year-old Omar Kashu and 24-year-old Warren Samuel.
According to the initial investigation, Warren Samuel was driving a vehicle along Highway 2 when, for reasons that had not yet been determined, he ignored a red light at the intersection which caused him to drive into the path of another car driven by Omar Kashu. As a result of the collision, Samuel sustained significant injuries and died at the scene. Meanwhile, Kashu was rushed to a hospital for treatment. His injuries were considered to be non-life-threatening.
