Spring – Woman Struck and Injured on Spring Cypress Rd

A woman, who was reportedly pregnant, was hospitalized after getting hit by a car on Spring Cypress Road, Saturday.

According to police reports, the incident took place at the 4700 block of Spring Cypress Road. A pregnant woman was seen walking along the side of the road when a car with undisclosed description struck her. Police said the female pedestrian sustained significant injuries and was rushed to the nearest hospital where she received proper medical treatment. Her condition was not immediately released by emergency crews.

The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and was taken into custody for questioning. She will be charged with aggravated assault.

No other injuries were reported.

Spring law enforcement officials were also requested at the scene to investigate the circumstances leading up to the crash.
