Aledo – Three Injured in DUI Collision on I-20

Several people were sent to a local hospital following a vehicle accident on Interstate 20 in Aledo.
According to initial reports, the incident took place at around 10:30 p.m. on I-20. A Ford F150 pickup truck was traveling along the highway when, for reasons that had not yet been determined, it went out of control and struck the rear side of another car. The impact of the crash seriously injured two occupants. They were both rushed to the nearest hospital for treatment. Another occupant, identified only as a 27-year-old woman, suffered from non-life-threatening injuries and was also hospitalized. Their conditions were not disclosed at this time.
The identifications of the victims were withheld pending notification of their next of kin.
The driver of the Ford was taken into custody and charged with two counts of intoxication assault.
