Gail – At Least Two People Died Following Fatal Crash on US 180

The Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating a major accident on US Highway 190, Monday.
According to initial reports, the incident occurred on Highway 180, just five miles east of Gail. A vehicle was seen traveling along the highway when, for reasons that had not yet been determined, it crashed into a semi-truck. The impact of the crash killed two occupants of the first vehicle. They were only identified as a woman and a 4-year-old child passenger. Its driver, Christopher Hodge, sustained significant injuries and were given medical treatment. His condition was not released.
Responding officers did not provide information about the occupants of the semi-truck.
No charges have been made as the investigation is still in progress. Anyone who has information about the accident is encouraged to get in contact with local authorities.
