San Antonio – Officer Injured in T-Bone Crash on US 90

A deputy officer was sent to a hospital after getting involved in a car accident on Us Highway 90, Monday midnight.

Based on the initial investigation, a Bexar County police vehicle was seen traveling along the highway when, for reasons that had not yet been determined, it was struck by a sport utility vehicle in its side. Police said the SUV reportedly ignored a red light at Montgomery Road. The impact of the crash injured the deputy driving the police car. He was transported to a local hospital where he received further medical care. His condition was not released by authorities.

The driver of the SUV was not hurt. He was taken into custody for driving while under the influence of alcohol.

No one else was injured.

The crash is still under investigation.
