Refugio County – Man Died Following FM 2678 Crash

A head-on collision on Farm to Market Road 2678 in Refugio County resulted in the death of one person, a local news source reports.

Last Friday, local police received a call reporting a car accident on FM 2678. According to the report, a Dodge Ram 1500 pickup truck was traveling along the northbound lanes of the highway when it attempted to pass a number of vehicles and ended up colliding with a southbound Honda CR-V.

The driver of the Honda suffered from significant injuries and later died at the scene. His identification was withheld pending notification of his next of kin. Meanwhile, the driver of the pickup truck was hospitalized with unknown injuries. His identification has yet to be released.

No charges have been made as the investigation is still in progress.
