Tyler County – Several Injured Following Vehicle Collision on US 190

Last Saturday, a major car accident on US Highway 190 sent three people to a hospital.

According to local officials, a Hyundai was traveling along Highway 190 near Farm to Market Road 92 when it crashed into a GMC pickup truck that was hauling a horse trailer. The pickup truck continued on, left the roadway, and crashed into a wall of a convenience store. Police said the Hyundai failed to yield which may have contributed to the crash.

The impact of the crash injured both the driver of Hyundai and the GMC. An occupant in the Hyundai was also hurt. All three victims were rushed to the nearest hospital for further medical attention. The extent of their injuries was not immediately disclosed.

No charges have been made as the investigation is still ongoing.
