Amarillo – Ashley Hernandez Died Following a Car Accident on I-40

Amarillo law enforcement officials have released the name of the victim who died in a vehicle crash on Interstate 40 last Tuesday.
The fatality was identified as 31-year-old Ashley Renee Hernandez.
According to reports, a vehicle was traveling along the freeway when it suddenly drifted off the roadway and overturn. The impact of the crash killed its passenger, Ashley Hernandez, at the scene. Meanwhile, the driver, 38-year-old Ricardo Alfonzo Sanchez, sustained injuries and was rushed to the nearest hospital for treatment. After getting treatment and released, he was taken into custody on suspicion of intoxication.
No other injuries were reported.
Area investigators are still determining the reason that caused the vehicle to roll over.
