Greenville – Man Died Following a Car vs Trees Collision on I-30

A solo-vehicle accident on Interstate 30 caused the death of one person, Monday afternoon.
Just after 4:00 p.m., a vehicle was seen traveling along I-30 when, for reasons that had not yet been determined, it left the roadway, crashed into a group of trees before coming to a complete rest. The impact of the collision left the driver of the vehicle with fatal injuries. He was pronounced deceased by emergency crews who responded to the scene. His identification was withheld pending notification of his next of kin.
No one else was injured, as per responding officers.
The Greenville Police Department was requested at the scene to determine the circumstances surrounding the crash. The crash remains under investigation.
