Dallas – Police-Involved Vehicle on Elam Rd Injures Two People

A vehicle accident involving a police car on Elam Road near South Buckner Boulevard resulted in injuries of two people, early Tuesday morning.
At around 4:45 a.m., a police officer responded to Elam Rd in the Pleasant Grove area to assist in a car accident. However, the call got canceled which prompts the officer to turn off his emergency lights. Upon doing so, a vehicle that entered the intersection crashed into the police vehicle, hitting its driver’s side. The impact injured both the officer and the driver of the second car. They were both taken to the nearest hospital where they were given medical treatment. The extent of their injuries was not disclosed at this time.
The Dallas Police Department is investigating the case. No arrests have been made as of this writing.
