El Paso – 1 Injured, 1 Killed in Fatal Dyer Street Collision

El Paso law enforcement officials have yet to release more details about a major accident on Dyer Street that caused the death of a child last week.
Based on the initial investigation, A Nissan Sentra had been traveling along Dyer St when, for reasons that had not yet been determined, it crashed into a Kia Optima. The impact of the collision injured a pregnant woman who was driving the Nissan. She was rushed to University Medical Center where she delivered a baby and get treated. Unfortunately, the infant succumbed to his injuries a few days after being born. Police said the baby also sustained injuries from the force of the impact.
The female victim was not immediately identified by local officers.
No arrests have been made as the investigation is still in progress.
