Campbell – Man Identified following State Highway 24 Collision

A man who died in a fatal two-vehicle accident on State Highway 24 has been identified by local police, reports said.

The fatality was named 24-year-old Larry Cooper.

According to initial reports, Cooper was driving a Mazda 3 along the southbound lane of the highway when, for yet unknown reasons, it crashed into a Dodge 2500 pickup truck that was heading north. As a result, Cooper suffered from significant injuries and was later pronounced deceased by emergency crews who responded to the scene. His passenger was taken to the hospital where she received medical treatment. The extent of her injuries was not disclosed.

Meanwhile, the driver of the other vehicle was airlifted to a local hospital with unknown injuries. His identification was withheld.
