Burnet County – 2 Injured Following Train Accident on Highway 29

At least two people were sent to a hospital after getting involved in a collision with a train on Highway 29, Tuesday.
According to the preliminary report by the Texas Department of Public Safety, the incident involved a commercial train and a single passenger vehicle. The details surrounding the collision are very unclear at this time but responding officers confirmed that two people, identified only as adults, sustained various injuries from the force of the impact. They were transported to a local hospital where they received medical treatment. It was not confirmed if they were immediately released.
No identification was disclosed pending notification of the victims’ family members.
