Galveston – Joseph Reyna Killed in Bus Crash on 7th Street

The Galveston Police Department has released the name of the victim who died in a deadly crash on 7th Street, Sunday evening.
The fatality was identified as 30-year-old Joseph Reyna.
According to reports, the incident took place at around 10:00 p.m. at the intersection of 7th Street and Broadway. A city of Galveston Island Transit tourist bus was heading west on Broadway when it collided with a Honda Accord while it was attempting to make a turn south onto 7th. The Honda was not able to stop on time and collided with the trolley at the cross street. Its driver, Joseph Reyna, was pronounced deceased at the scene. He no longer had vital signs when emergency responders came to the scene for rescue. Meanwhile, the driver of the trolley was rushed to a hospital with undisclosed injuries. He has since been released.
No one else was injured.
