Carson County – Woman Killed in SH 207 Auto Collision Named

The woman who died in a fatal vehicle accident on State Highway 207 has been identified by Carson County law enforcement officials, Thursday morning.
At around 7:00 a.m., a car had been traveling along the southbound lane of SH 207 when it passed through a large pool of standing water which caused the vehicle to hydroplane. The car came to rest on its side and landed on a drainage ditch. The driver of the said vehicle was transported to Amarillo Northwest Texas Hospital with major injuries. She was identified as 50-year-old Linda Conley, a resident of Stinnet. Her passenger, who was identified as 54-year-old Pamela Peterson of Borger, sustained fatal injuries was pronounced deceased by emergency crews.
No one else was injured, as per the report.
The investigation is still ongoing at this time.
