Houston – Pedestrian Crash on Bellfort Street Kills Woman

The victim of a fatal pedestrian versus motor vehicle accident on Bellfort Street has been named by Houston law enforcement officials, Tuesday.
According to authorities, the fatality was identified as Maria Carrillo.
Carillo was walking with her husband across Bellfort Street, at around 5:00 a.m. As they walk towards a METRO bus stop, a white sport utility vehicle that was traveling along the eastbound lane struck them. The impact of the crash seriously injured Carillo. She succumbed to her injuries at the scene. It was not confirmed if her husband sustained any injury. Meanwhile, the driver of the white SUV did not stop to render aid to the victims. His identification and whereabouts are still to be determined by local authorities.
The crash is still under investigation as of this writing.
