Trent – Child Hurt Following a Vehicle Accident on Interstate 20

Trent law enforcement officials are conducting an investigation about an auto vs bicycle accident on Interstate 20 Business which resulted in injuries last October 3rd.
At around 8:00 p.m., DPS troopers were dispatched on I-20, also known as Business 20, after receiving a notification reporting an accident involving a bicyclist. According to the report, a child was riding a bicycle along the roadway when he was hit by a passing pickup truck. The bicyclist, whose identity has not been released, suffered from critical injuries. He was immediately taken to Cook Children’s Medical Center where he as listed in an unknown condition.
Officials from Texas Department of Public Safety were requested at the scene to determine liability. It was not yet confirmed if the driver of the pickup truck remained at the scene.
The investigation continues.
