Beeville – Hebbronville Woman Who Died in US 181 Crash Identified

The Beeville Police Department has released the name of the woman who fatally died in a vehicle accident on US Highway 181, Tuesday afternoon.
According to initial reports, a 2009 Chevrolet Impala had been traveling along the southernmost end of the access road when it collided with a 2013 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck that was heading northwest. When police arrived at the scene, they found one vehicle on its roof.
The force of the impact left the driver of the Impala with serious injuries who later died a few moments after. She was identified as Sandy Susan Gutierrez. Meanwhile, the male driver of the pickup truck was rushed to Christus Spohn Hospital Beeville for treatment. His condition remains unknown but authorities said his injuries were not deemed to be life-threatening.
A preliminary investigation shows that Gutierrez failed to yield right of way at a stop sign.
