Hood County – Casey Cox Died in Fatal Motorcycle Crash on US 377

A deadly motorcycle accident on US Highway 377 caused the death of one person, Monday evening.
Just before 8:00 p.m., local troopers responded to US Highway 377, two miles from Bluff Dale in Hood County, to assist in an accident involving a motorcycle. Initial reports show that a 2006 Suzuki motorcycle had been traveling along the eastbound lane of the highway when it traveled off the right side of the roadway as it approaches a curve in the road. The motorcycle came to rest in a heavily wooded area after crashing into the barrow ditch.
The rider of the motorcycle was pronounced deceased by emergency crews who responded to the scene. Authorities later identified the victim as Casey Cox, 39, of Tolar.
No one else was reportedly injured.
Hood County local officials are determining liability. The investigation is in progress.
