One person was sent to a hospital when an 18-wheeler truck rolled over on Highway 287, 10 miles east of Bellevue.
According to the initial investigation, the incident took place between Bellevue and Henrietta last Tuesday. An 18-wheeler had been traveling along the northbound lane when its front tire blew out, causing the truck to go off the road and into a ditch. Authorities said the truck overturned a number of times before coming to rest.
The driver of the tractor trailer, whose identity has not yet been released, sustained non-life threatening as a result of the incident. He was taken to United Regional Hospital by Clay County EMS crews who responded to the scene.
Authorities said the Pipes loaded on the trailer contributed to the injury sustained by the driver.
An investigation to the crash remains ongoing.
