Eastland County – Chain-Reaction Collision on Interstate 20 Leaves 1 Dead, 3 Injured

Texas Department of Public Safety officials released the name of the man who died in a fatal vehicle accident on Interstate 20 in Eastland County last Wednesday night.
The fatality was identified as Juan Rene Sanchez-Sorola, 27, of Mexico.
According to reports, Sanchez-Sorola was driving an 18-wheeler truck along the westbound lane of the highway at around 9:00 p.m. Police said the truck was involved in a chain-reaction crash which involved a pickup truck and another big-rig that somehow collided with each other. The big-rig ended up overturning as a result of the force of the impact.
As a result, Sanchez-Sorola was pronounced deceased at the scene. Both drivers of the pickup truck and big rig and another passenger sustained serious injuries. They were rushed to a local hospital where they received proper medical treatment. Their identification was not immediately released.
Authorities are still determining liability. No arrests have been made at this time.
