San Angelo – Woman Injured after Getting Hit by a Car on South Chadbourne St

The San Angelo Police Department is searching for the hit-and-run driver who struck a woman on South Chadbourne Street, early Sunday morning.
At around 12:20 a.m., local troopers received a call reporting an auto versus pedestrian accident on South Chadbourne near East Twohig Avenue. A woman was reportedly crossing the said street when she was struck by a passing 2002 silver Mitsubishi Galant. The woman, identified only as a 37-year-old woman sustained broken bones as a result of the crash. She was sent to a hospital where she will undergo a surgical procedure.
No one else was injured, as per reports.
The driver of the Galant, Bentley Branson Green, 21 of San Angelo, fled the scene before authorities arrived. He is wanted for an accident involving serious bodily injury.
The San Angelo Police Department is encouraging anyone who knows the whereabouts of the suspect to get in touch with them.
