Weslaco – Horacio Reyes Died Following a Fatal Rollover Collision on 34th Street

The Weslaco man who died in a deadly auto crash on 34th Street, Saturday evening.
The fatality was identified as 27-year-old Horacio Reyes of Weslaco.
According to initial reports, the incident occurred at around 11:40 p.m. on 34th Street near Hopper Road. A Chevrolet Silverado was traveling along the westbound lane of 34th Street when he drifted off the roadway and crashed into a drainage ditch. When the driver tried to overcorrect, the truck went out of control and overturned.
The impact of the crash seriously injured the driver of the Chevy, Horacio Reyes. He was pronounced deceased by emergency crews who responded to the scene.
No other injuries were reported.
Local investigators arrived to determine the cause of the crash. It is believed that Reyes was driving at a high rate of speed prior to the collision.
