Calhoun – Rigoberto Villarreal Hurt in a Car Accident on Highway 185

The Calhoun County law enforcement official has released the name of the victim who got injured in a vehicle crash on Texas Highway 185, last Friday.

The victim was identified as 32-year-old Rigoberto Villarreal.

According to initial reports, the incident occurred at around 5:24 a.m. Villareal was driving a GMC Sierra pickup truck along Texas 185 when it crashed into a Chevrolet Cavalier that was exiting a Calhoun Chemical, LLC and attempting to enter the highway. Police said that the Chevy struck the driver’s side door, leaving Villareal seriously injured. It was not confirmed if he was rushed to a hospital for treatment or not.

Authorities later identified the driver as Michael Burke. He was pronounced deceased by emergency crews who responded to the scene.

The crash remains investigation by local authorities.
