Hitchcock – Tuesday Crash on FM 2004 Leaves 2 Dead

At least two people were pronounced dead after a fiery car accident on Farm to Market Road 2004, last Tuesday afternoon.
Just after 4:00 p.m., a two vehicle accident was reported on FM 2004 near Tacquard Ranch Road. According to reports, a truck was seen heading south on FM 2004 when, for yet unknown reasons, it drifted into the southbound lane where it collided with a northbound sport utility vehicle. The force of the impact was great, it caused one vehicle to go up in flames. Two occupants in the truck died due to the crash. Their identification has not been released at this time.
An occupant in the SUV, identified only as a 39-year-old man, sustained internal injuries and possibly a broken leg. He was taken to the nearest hospital for treatment. His condition was not disclosed.
Investigation is ongoing but police said that speed may have played a role in the accident.
