Hewitt – Driver Involved in Rollover Crash on I-35 ID’d

A 63-year-old Hutchins was pronounced dead after his vehicle rolled over on Interstate 35 one Tuesday morning.
The fatality was identified by the Texas Department of Public Safety as 63-year-old Thomas Schultz.
According to reports, the incident happened at around 4:20 a.m. near Mile Marker 328, south of Waco. Initial investigation indicates that Schultz lost control of his semi-truck causing it to rolled over a number of times. The vehicle then caught fire after coming to rest. The impact of the collision killed Schultz instantly. He has no other passengers.
The center and right lanes of the interstate has been shut down for a couple of hours, as crews work to clear the scene of a truck that caught fire.
The Hewitt Police Department was also requested at the scene to determine what caused the driver to lose control of the vehicle.
