Austin – Auto vs Pedestrian Crash on Metric Boulevard

A pedestrian was sent to a hospital after getting struck by a car on Metric Boulevard, late Monday afternoon.
At around 5:09 p.m., Austin police officials received a call reporting a crash on Metric Blvd near West Parmer Lane. How the incident actually happened is yet to be determined by responding officers but it was confirmed that the pedestrian sustained critical and life-threatening injuries as a result of the collision. He was transported to Round Rock Medical Center where he received medical treatment. According to emergency crews, they were able to obtain a pulse on the victim after performing CPR while in transit. His condition remains unknown.
Authorities did not release the identification of the driver as well as the vehicle involved. They did not confirm if they remained at the scene.
The crash is still under investigation.
